Malaysia: Malaysia's participation as a BRICS partner opens up wider trade opportunities with member countries that collectively represent more than half of the world's population and purchasing power. Community Communications Department (J-KOM) director-general Mohd Hisyamuddin Ghazali emphasized the strategic advantage of Malaysia adopting a 'middle path' approach, allowing it to engage with major global powers without dependency.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the collaboration with BRICS enables Malaysia to balance its trade relations with various countries, leveraging the significant purchasing power of BRICS member nations. Mohd Hisyamuddin highlighted that missing out on this opportunity would be disadvantageous for Malaysia, given the vast population and economic potential within BRICS.

Speaking at a press conference after attending the MADANI Kita Programme (PMK) with the Simpang Pulai @ Gopeng community, Mohd Hisyamuddin addressed concerns about Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's absence from a group photograph at the BRICS Leaders' Summit. He assured that Malaysia's involvement as a BRICS partner remains unaffected and emphasized the potential for closer ties with leaders from countries like Russia, Iran, Brazil, and South Africa.

Additionally, he announced a strategic collaboration between J-KOM, the Information Department (JAPEN), and the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) to improve the dissemination of government information to grassroots communities. This partnership aims to ensure that government policies are effectively communicated and that feedback from the public is accurately gathered to address community-specific issues.
