Iskandar Puteri Police Dispose Of Case Items Worth RM281,350

Iskandar Puteri: The Iskandar Puteri district police headquarters (IPD) took decisive action today by disposing of numerous exhibits related to cases from 2017 through May this year, with a cumulative value of RM281,350.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, ACP M. Kumarasan, the chief of the district police, stated that these items were associated with 567 investigation papers that had been finalized, receiving disposal orders from the court. Of these, 319 papers pertained to gambling, with items valued at RM94,380.00, making them the highest-value items discarded.

The disposal process included general goods linked to 226 investigation papers, valued at RM31,028.00; contraband related to 15 papers, totaling RM71,242.00, which included various types of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages; and exhibits from seven bitcoin mining investigation papers valued at RM84,700.00.

The press conference at the Iskandar Puteri IPD was attended by key law enforcement figures, including Iskandar Puteri deputy police chief Superintendent Mohd Azlan Abdul Kadir and Johor deputy public prosecutors Muhammad Nursyafiq Abd Halim and Sarah Siti Aisyah Mustapha Kamal.

Kumarasan emphasized that the disposal aligns with the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) ongoing efforts to maintain proper and systematic management of case items in accordance with legal procedures. He also issued a stern reminder to the public about the legal consequences of participating in illegal activities, such as gambling, smuggling untaxed goods, and electricity theft for bitcoin mining.
