Ipoh Police Hunt For Housebreaking Suspect

Ipoh: Police are hunting for a man suspected of being involved in a housebreaking case in Lapangan Perdana here on Sept 13. Ipoh district police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said in the incident at 2.48 pm, the suspect was seen wearing a blue cap and face mask before breaking into a house.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, after the break-in, the suspect fled using a Proton Persona car bearing the registration number BMH 7286. ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad noted that a check revealed the vehicle had previously been reported missing in Taman Rishah.

The housebreaking case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code, while the vehicle theft is being investigated under Section 379A of the Penal Code. Police efforts to trace the suspect are underway.
