Kuala lumpur: International journalists from 18 countries recently visited east China's Jiangsu Province as part of the seven-day "Travelogue of China 2026" Jiangsu Tour, exploring the country's advances in innovation, sustainable development and international cooperation.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event, co-hosted by the China Public Diplomacy Association and Global Times Online, brought together 19 journalists who visited the cities of Suzhou, Wuxi and Yangzhou. The tour aimed to provide insights into China's industrial development and technological innovation.
During the tour, participants visited companies involved in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, electric mobility and agricultural technology. Among the sites visited were Star Plus Legend Holdings, which showcased applications of AI, digital intellectual property and immersive technologies, and Wuxi EYOU Intelligent Control Technology, where journalists observed humanoid robots performing tasks using independently developed robotic components.
The delegation also visited electric vehicle manufacturer Yadea and agricultural technology firms, including FAMSUN, to learn about efforts to support agricultural modernisation and overseas development projects. Beyond industry, the programme highlighted urban renewal and ecological restoration initiatives in Jiangyin, including community-focused redevelopment projects and environmental conservation efforts along the Yangtze River.
The tour concluded with a visit to a match in the Jiangsu Football City League, offering participants a glimpse into local community life and culture.
