Inmate Allegedly Beaten To Death Over Old Debt Dispute

Marang: A male prisoner died after he was believed to have been beaten by three other inmates at a prison in the district yesterday. Marang District Police chief Supt Sofian Redzuan reported that police received a notice of the incident at 12.31 pm, and it is suspected to have originated from an unresolved debt and the subsequent dissatisfaction of the three suspects with the victim.
