Kuala lumpur: Strategic cooperation between industry players and educational institutions can drive the country’s digitalisation agenda, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Citing the partnership among Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Holdings, Viztech, BytePlus, and technology partner Digital One Solution signed today, Ahmad Zahid said it would strengthen digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) development.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, stated that such strategic collaboration aligns with the government’s aspiration to empower Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as the backbone of national talent development. He emphasized that, through this collaboration, there would be more opportunities to enrich the TVET curriculum with new technologies, provide students with relevant industry exposure, and produce a skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of the digital economy.

Earlier, Ahmad Zahid witnessed the Strategic Partnership Exchange ceremony among UniKL, UiTM Holdings through Neura Sdn Bhd, Viztech, BytePlus, and Digital One Solution at Menara MARA. He congratulated all parties involved in the initiative and expressed hope that the cooperation would continue to bring significant benefits to human capital development and the nation’s economic progress.
