Bhubaneswar: National sprinter Muhammad Azeem Mohd Fahmi and Danish Iftikhar Muhammad Roslee dominated the podium in the men’s 100 metres (m) sprint at the Indian Open Athletics Championship in Bhubaneswar today. National record holder Muhammad Azeem won the gold with a time of 10.35 seconds (s), while Danish claimed the bronze with a time of 10.50 s. Sri Lankan athlete Chamod Yodhasinghe secured the silver medal with a time of 10.43 s.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, both sprinters had earlier qualified for today’s final following impressive performances in the heats. Muhammad Azeem clinched victory in Heat 2, while Danish secured a third-place finish in the same heat. This achievement set the stage for their commendable success in the final, where their podium finishes echoed their performances in the heats.
