Melaka: The increase in federal funding to Sabah will enable more development projects to be implemented for the benefit of the people in the state, said United Sabah National Organisation (USNO) president Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia. He emphasized that this rapid development is expected to not only benefit Sabah but also contribute significantly to Malaysia's overall progress.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pandikar Amin expressed his belief in the necessity of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's continued involvement in both international and domestic politics. His remarks were made on the sidelines of the 2026 PKR National Congress at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) in Ayer Keroh.

In his presidential policy speech at the congress, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim highlighted that federal allocations to Sabah had risen by 35 percent, from RM13 billion in 2022 to RM17.6 billion in 2026. The Prime Minister also addressed claims that the MADANI Government was neglecting certain states, asserting that allocations to each state varied according to priorities and had increased under his administration.
