Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM) is developing an integrity module for preschool children as part of efforts to instil the value of integrity from a young age. IIM president and chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Ramdzan Daud said the module was currently in the pilot phase and expected to be fully completed by 2026.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, several universities have been appointed to conduct research due to the age differences involved. Ahmad Ramdzan explained that the module for children aged two to four years differs from that for those aged four to six, necessitating feedback on the module’s effectiveness.
The introduction of this module is part of the MADANI government’s broader efforts to strengthen integrity within society. Ahmad Ramdzan emphasized the importance of beginning integrity education early, as it becomes increasingly challenging to nurture these values at the secondary or adult levels.
Regarding the Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA) 2025, Ahmad Ramdzan expressed hope for increased participation from public and private sector entities next year. The assessment process was described as stringent, focusing on how each organization implements governance, integrity, and anti-corruption practices. IIM aims to lead the promotion and institutionalization of these values across sectors.
At AIGA 2025, Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG) and Duopharma Biotech Bhd were recognized with the Prime Minister’s Award for their respective sectors. These awards, presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, acknowledged their strong commitment to embedding integrity, governance, and anti-corruption practices into their operations. As winners, both organizations received a certificate, trophy, and an RM50,000 cash prize. The event coincided with the start of the National Integrity Month celebration, held every November.
