Sabah: Sabah Governor Tun Musa Aman received a courtesy call from Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail at Istana Seri Kinabalu here today. It is Mohd Khalid’s first courtesy call on Tun Musa, after being appointed Inspector-General of Police on June 20.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Khalid, when met by reporters, said that during the meeting with Tun Musa, which lasted about 20 minutes, they discussed issues of security and stability in Sabah. ‘The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) remains committed to ensuring political stability and maintaining the peace and security in Sabah,’ he said.
Mohd Khalid mentioned that PDRM is not only responsible for addressing domestic security concerns but also plays a role in managing international security issues, particularly those involving the nation’s maritime borders. He noted that matters involving neighbouring countries, such as the Philippines and territorial claims by China, have, so far, been handled through well-discussed win-win solutions.
