Housing Development In Lembah Pantai Always Prioritised – Fahmi

Kuala lumpur: The development of housing in the Lembah Pantai parliamentary constituency will always be prioritised to help residents there enjoy a more comfortable life, said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil. Fahmi, who is also the Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament (MP), stated that the redevelopment of the Seri Pahang Public Housing, which currently consists of 777 residential units, will be transformed into Residensi Maarof. This new development will offer 843 units that are larger and come equipped with more facilities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, discussions are ongoing with the Kuala Lumpur Mayor to address several issues, including the high stamp duty costs. These discussions involve seeking cooperation from the Ministry of Finance. Fahmi mentioned that the process of relocating tenants from the Seri Pahang Public Housing scheme to Residensi Maarof is anticipated to occur by mid-year or, at the latest, by the fourth quarter.

In addition to housing developments, a new primary school with 36 classrooms is planned for the Lembah Pantai parliamentary constituency to cater to the educational needs of local residents. This school will be constructed on the former site of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Seri Pantai, which is expected to be demolished in either May or June.

During a recent event at IWK Eco Park, Pantai Dalam, Fahmi distributed vouchers worth RM150 to 1,200 recipients to aid the underprivileged in their preparations for Hari Raya. Furthermore, he announced that following Aidilfitri, a health campaign will be launched in the constituency. This campaign will feature a mobile health clinic providing health screenings and information on government programmes and services in collaboration with other agencies.
