Shah Alam: A pedestrian, believed to be a homeless woman, was tragically killed after being struck by a car driven by a senior citizen along Persiaran Jubli Perak near the Seksyen 19 bus station at 5.40 am today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Shah Alam district police chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim stated that preliminary investigations indicated the woman was hit by the vehicle driven by a 61-year-old man on his way to morning prayers at Taman Sri Muda Mosque.

The 52-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and her body was subsequently transported to Shah Alam Hospital for further procedures. Authorities are currently investigating the incident under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
