Putrajaya: The sponsorship contribution of more than RM22 million to make the National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 (HKHM 2025) celebrations a success is very commendable, said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil. The chairman of the HKHM 2025 Celebration Main Committee expressed his appreciation to the Sponsorship Committee which obtained the contribution as a result of collaboration and strategic cooperation with various corporate, private and industry entities.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Ministry of Communications through the Sponsorship Committee received sponsorship contributions of RM22.31 million, which is RM1.96 million in cash and RM20.35 million in goods and services for HKHM 2025. Fahmi stated, ‘Alhamdulillah, the contributions from 123 strategic partners are very meaningful to all of us and will certainly cheer up Malaysians who attended the HKHM 2025 celebration.’ He expressed gratitude to all the strategic partners and hoped that the close cooperation would continue in next year’s HKHM Celebration.
Fahmi also expressed confidence that through the cooperation and dedication of all parties, the HKHM celebration in the coming years will be more glorious, lively, and full of the spirit of unity and patriotism. Meanwhile, he conveyed his satisfaction with the smooth execution of the HKHM 2025 celebration and extended his highest appreciation to all parties involved.
At the appreciation ceremony, Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) News Services acting deputy editor-in-chief Mohd Shukri Ishak received a certificate of appreciation from Fahmi for Bernama’s role in helping to make HKHM 2025 a success. The event saw more than 100,000 visitors at Dataran Putrajaya on August 31, including the presence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim, Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, both Deputy Prime Ministers, and various Cabinet members and foreign delegates.
Thousands of people of various races later gathered to celebrate the climax of the 2025 Malaysia Day celebration in an atmosphere full of colour and national spirit at the PICCA Convention Centre@Arena Butterworth, Penang on September 16.
