Kuala lumpur: Hiker Jaslinda Saludin, who was discovered safe today after being missing for 14 days in the Gunung Batu Putih area, sustained several minor injuries, including to her head, following multiple falls while attempting to navigate her way out of the forest. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Perak Fire and Rescue Department's (JBPM) Operations Division assistant director, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, stated that the 49-year-old hiker also suffered from insect bites during her time in the forest. Information provided by Jaslinda to rescuers revealed that she fell several times while traversing difficult terrain, including near river areas and from heights of about five and three metres. Despite these challenges, she managed to continue her journey each time. "Alhamdulillah, she is in stable condition and sustained only minor injuries," he informed reporters at the Emergency and Trauma Unit of Tapah Hospital today. Earlier, Jaslinda was found by an Orang Asli resident near Kampung Lubuk Gaharu, Pos Mu soh, at approximately 5 pm. She was part of a group of 14 hikers and two Forestry Mountain Guides (MGP) who embarked on the Trans Spencer Chapman expedition at 2 am on May 23, taking the Pos Gedung-Gunung Bah Gading-Gunung Batu Putih-Kuala Woh route. Jaslinda and another hiker, Mohd Hanafi Neikmad, 41, reportedly experienced health problems and paused during the trek. Jaslinda later continued towards the summit and was last seen by a guide at around 7.30 am on May 24.
