Hextar Global Sells Raub Agricultural Land for RM13.75 Million

Kuala lumpur: Hextar Global Bhd’s (HGB) indirect subsidiary, PHG Ever Fresh Plantation Sdn Bhd, is set to sell three parcels of agricultural land in Raub, Pahang, for RM13.75 million. The sale will be conducted through its 51 percent-owned unit, Hextar Fruits Sdn Bhd (HFSB), which has signed agreements with Chateau MSK Sdn Bhd for this transaction.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, HGB disclosed in a Bursa Malaysia filing that the yield from the durian plantation on these lands has not met PHG’s expectations, making it commercially unviable for the long term. The sale presents an opportunity for PHG to gain a favorable return due to the attractive price offered by the purchaser.

The HGB Group plans to shift its focus to operating durian collection centers. These centers will allow various sellers to supply durians, which will then be sorted and processed into pulp, paste, and frozen products for export, aligning with the company’s business strategy. The disposal of the land is expected to be finalized within six months from the agreement date.
