Heritage Players Boost Team, Focus Now On September Friendlies – Arif Aiman

Kuala lumpur: Harimau Malaya winger Arif Aiman Mohd Hanapi emphasized that there is no rivalry between local-born and heritage players in the national squad. He highlighted the importance of mentality, stating that every player shares the same goal under one flag.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Arif mentioned that the inclusion of heritage players has significantly benefited the team over time. He also pointed out that the players are fully concentrated on preparing for the upcoming September friendlies against Singapore and Palestine, choosing not to comment on Malaysia’s withdrawal from the 2025 CAFA Nations Cup.

Arif stressed the importance of focusing on future challenges, saying, “To me, I just focus on what’s ahead. Preparation is important,” during a press interaction after being named ambassador for a leading sports brand. The two Tier 1 matches against Singapore on September 4 and Palestine on September 8 serve as crucial warm-up fixtures ahead of the third round of the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers in October.
