According to BERNAMA News Agency, this collaboration aims to speed up the global deployment of software-defined vehicles (SDVs) by utilizing HERE’s innovative AI mapmaking capabilities and Amap’s extensive expertise within China’s automotive landscape. Deon Newman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific at HERE Technologies, emphasized the union of HERE’s mapping technology with Amap’s strong presence in the navigation ecosystem, highlighting their joint mission to propel new-generation automakers onto the international stage.
Frank Jiang, Vice President of Amap, noted the strategic decision to partner with HERE due to its track record in innovation and its expansive global network. He stressed the importance of creating a navigation system that aligns with the ambitions of Chinese automakers as they expand globally.
