Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Warning Issued for Seven Malaysian States

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning predicting thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across seven states, with the adverse weather expected to last until 9 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the warning, which was released at 5 pm, highlights the regions anticipated to be affected by these weather conditions. In Perak, the warning covers the areas of Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, and Kampar. Similarly, in Negeri Sembilan, the warning is in place for Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and Tampin.

The state of Johor is also under alert, with the warning affecting Segamat and Mersing. Meanwhile, in Terengganu, the regions expected to experience the weather disturbances include Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman. Pahang's Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, and Rompin are also expected to be impacted.

Further warnings are in place for Sarawak, particularly in Kapit (Kapit and Bukit Mabong), Bintulu (Tatau and Sebauh), and Limbang. In Sabah, the area of Kinabatangan in Sandakan is also included in the warning. Residents in these areas are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions as the weather conditions unfold.
