Kuala lumpur: HARMAN International (HARMAN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, has completed the acquisition of Sound United, the former consumer audio business of Masimo Corporation. This acquisition marks a strategic milestone for HARMAN, enhancing its core audio business across multiple key product categories, including home audio, electronics, headphones, and car audio.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sound United’s brands are rooted in a dedication to sound, innovation, and quality, aligning with HARMAN’s values. Dave Rogers, President of HARMAN’s Lifestyle Division, stated that the transaction provides growth opportunities and supports HARMAN’s strategy to scale its audio leadership.
The acquisition enables HARMAN to integrate Sound United’s portfolio with its own renowned audio business, offering consumers a broader range of choices and innovative experiences. Sound United, now a standalone Strategic Business Unit within HARMAN’s Lifestyle Division, will maintain its brand heritage and customer loyalty.
