Hannah Hails Coach Rosman Razak For Pearly-Thinaah’s Japan Masters Triumph

Kuala lumpur: Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh has praised national women’s doubles head coach Rosman Razak, who played an important role in Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah’s success at the Japan Masters recently. Hannah said the achievement of the world No. 2 pair was the result of a collective team effort, and that included the man who sat behind them in competitions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hannah noted that Coach Rosman Razak has been exceptional since he took charge of the players, and the Road To Gold (RTG) initiative has rewarded his efforts with a salary increase announced in June this year. She stated that Rosman’s success with Pearly-Thinaah is a testament to the quality of Malaysian coaches, who deserve recognition and compensation that reflects their contributions.

Hannah also expressed her anticipation for more achievements from the three individuals, who exemplify Malaysian talent, hard work, and unity. Recently, Pearly-Thinaah showcased their skills on the international stage by defeating Japan’s Rin Iwanaga-Kie Nakanishi 22-20, 21-19 in a 54-minute match. The victory earned them USD37,525 (RM155,190) in prize money.
