Kuala Lumpur:Handal Energy Bhd is set to submit its written appeal to Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd, contesting the potential delisting of its securities. The company aims to present its case by November 10, 2026.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Handal Energy disclosed in a filing that it received a letter from Bursa Securities. The letter demands that the energy firm justify why its securities should not be removed from the Official List of Bursa Securities. This follows the stipulations of Paragraph 9.28(6) of the Main Market Listing Requirements.
The notice was triggered by Handal Energy's failure to announce its annual report, which includes audited financial statements and directors' reports for the financial period ending December 31, 2025. This report was due by April 30, 2026, as required by Paragraph 9.23(1) of the Main Market Listing Requirements, and remains outstanding for over six months.
Handal Energy's board has stated that it will provide further updates on any significant developments as they occur.
