Sepang: Talented young national rider, Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli, is set to compete as a wildcard in the Moto3 class at the 2025 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP) World Championship later this month. He has undergone several training sessions using the KTM-Factory machine at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, SIC Chief Executive Officer Azhan Shafriman Hanif expressed confidence that the rider is ready to compete on the world stage. Azhan mentioned that Hakim Danish has completed several training series on the track and conveyed his excitement about the upcoming event. Azhan emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and staying on the bike during the competition.
Azhan also addressed concerns regarding the equipment, assuring that the machine provided is the best motorcycle available, dispelling any claims of it being outdated or uncompetitive. He highlighted Hakim Danish’s participation as a focal point for SIC, alongside the intense competition for seco
nd place in the championship following Marc Marquez’s early conclusion as the champion at the Motegi Circuit in Japan last month.
Preparations for the MotoGP race are in their final phase, with ticket sales reaching 85 percent of the targeted capacity of 200,000 spectators for the race weekend. Azhan expressed optimism about reaching this target, noting that last year they fell short by approximately 15,000 attendees.
Additionally, Azhan announced that parking facilities will incur charges this year, with rates set at RM10 for motorcycles and RM20 for cars. The 2025 Malaysian MotoGP race is scheduled to take place at SIC from October 24 to 26.
