Penang: Guardian Malaysia has strengthened its position as the country’s leading health and beauty retailer with the launch of its first flagship store at Queensbay Mall here. In a statement today, Guardian said the new store is specially designed to meet the evolving needs of modern consumers and is expected to attract thousands of local shoppers and tourists each month.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the flagship outlet spans 2,186 square feet and features a modern retail concept with streamlined layouts, offering an extensive selection of the latest health and beauty brands and trends. The store has introduced over 1,400 new and popular products, with around half being available exclusively at Guardian.
Guardian Malaysia managing director Priscilla Wu emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing the shopping experience by offering more information and a wider product selection. She noted that the Queensbay Mall store provides customers with a more varied shopping experience and better access to information, helping them make informed choices through expert guidance and tailored solutions.
A notable feature of the store is Guardian’s first-ever Artificial Intelligence (AI) based skin health check, conducted by Guardian pharmacists certified in dermatology. This tool analyzes 12 key skin parameters, including wrinkles, dark circles, blemishes, pores, and acne, delivering results in just three minutes.
The flagship store also introduces a Men’s Zone, a curated section aimed at educating male customers about grooming and wellness routines. This area provides expert tips on shaving products, skincare, hair care, deodorants, and health essentials tailored to men’s needs.
Additionally, the Guardian’s Picks section showcases a rotating selection of curated products across health, personal care, and skincare, reinforcing Guardian’s role as a trusted wellness advisor. The store design caters to convenience, featuring specially designed areas such as the Mini and Travel Zone for travelers and a comprehensive Oral Care section with the latest hygiene products.
To celebrate its official launch on October 8, Guardian offered special promotions, including RM5 deals on 30 selected items, exclusively available at the Queensbay Mall outlet on opening day. Throughout October, customers can enjoy various in-store brand events, including make-up demos and free sampling sessions, with Hanasui brand activities on October 11-12 and Timephoria events from October 17-31.
Free skin health checks are available to all customers, with MYguardian Rewards members receiving complimentary derma sample kits and RM20 vouchers when participating in these activities.
