GRS To Launch Manifesto For Sabah Polls Today

Kota kinabalu: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will launch its manifesto for the 17th Sabah State Election this afternoon. The launch makes GRS among the earliest parties to do so after Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) unveiled its manifesto on Nov 13.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a media invitation stated that the launch will be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre starting at 2 pm. The manifesto will be presented by Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Ali, who is also the deputy secretary-general of GRS. After the presentation, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who is also the GRS chairman, will launch the manifesto.

GRS, which was established nearly four years ago, comprises Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS), Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), United Sabah National Organisation (USNO), Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (PHRS), Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS), and the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). In this state election, GRS is contesting 55 out of 73 seats, carrying the slogan ‘Rumah Kita. Kita Jaga.’

Armizan earlier stated that the GRS manifesto for the state polls not only brought new pledges but also highlighted the strong track record of the state administration since 2020. Polling is fixed for Nov 29 with early voting on Nov 25.
