Sepang:Grab Malaysia has increased its operational presence at the Sepang International Circuit and Long Term Car Park to facilitate the movement of racegoers attending the final day of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Grab Malaysia has deployed teams to both locations to assist driver-partners and passengers, ensuring smoother vehicle loading. Additionally, shaded waiting zones with cooling fans and free drinking water have been set up to keep attendees comfortable.
The e-hailing service is offering a complimentary shuttle between the circuit and the car park, along with a queue-management system called Grab PIN and RIDE to efficiently match passengers with drivers, reducing wait times and congestion.
Collaborating with event organizers, Grab Malaysia has established dedicated pick-up and drop-off lanes to improve traffic flow. The company's teams are also using GrabMaps to monitor traffic and anticipate demand surges due to multiple weekend events.
Racegoers are advised to plan their journeys, allow extra travel time, and follow on-ground signage for a smoother experience. The 56-lap race is scheduled to start at 3 pm today.
Formula 1 had earlier confirmed Malaysia as the host for the Bahrain GP from October 2 to 4, keeping the event on the 2026 F1 calendar after its earlier cancellation due to geopolitical issues. Malaysia previously hosted the Malaysian GP at Sepang from 1999 to 2017.
