Kuala Lumpur: The government will intensify initiatives to empower the Indian community through various programmes, including business financing. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that the government would focus on enhancing key aspects such as education, the provision of places of worship, and employment opportunities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar highlighted the importance of these efforts in uplifting the Indian community and improving their socioeconomic status. In a Facebook post marking the Tamil New Year Chithirai, Vaisakhi, and Vishu celebrations, he expressed his commitment to these goals.

The Prime Minister also extended greetings for the celebrations to all members of the Tamil, Sikh, and Malayalee communities. He hoped the festivities would bring joy, good health, and blessings to all.

Anwar further remarked on the importance of celebrating diversity, noting that the vibrant cultures within Malaysia contribute to the country’s uniqueness and strength. He encouraged the continued upholding of unity, which he described as the nation’s true strength.
