Golden 50 Pct Discount On Traffic Summons From Aug 31 To Sept 16 Announced

Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) in collaboration with the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has unveiled the National Summons Discount Campaign, offering a 50 per cent reduction on police traffic summonses from August 31 to September 16.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the KDN’s statement emphasized that this initiative is in collaboration with MyDigital ID and is exclusively available for payments made through the PDRM MyBayar application using MyDigital ID login. This measure is specifically designed for Malaysian citizens to take advantage of the offer.

The campaign coincides with the 68th National Day and the 62nd Malaysia Day celebrations, signifying the government’s commitment to advancing digital services in the country. The initiative aims to provide an easy, rapid, and secure method for citizens to settle outstanding traffic summonses.

The KDN also highlighted that using MyDigital ID as a digital identity verification method enhances security, reducing the risk of identity fraud and personal information misuse. This move by the government reaffirms its dedication to prioritizing the welfare of the citizens and advancing Malaysia’s digital agenda.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail noted that the offer is a gesture of appreciation from the government to the Malaysian people, encouraging the adoption of the national digital identity as a foundation for transforming public services. He called on all Malaysians to seize this opportunity and support the government’s effort toward more efficient, transparent, and modern services.

The National Day celebration in 2025, themed “Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni,” is set to take place at Dataran Putrajaya, commencing at 7 am. The event will feature 14,062 participants from 81 contingents, 508 land and air assets, seven decorated cars, 116 animals in public service, and 21 marching bands.
