Gold Futures Rise on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives, Following COMEX Gains

Rabat:Bursa Malaysia Gold futures ended higher on Friday, aligning with gains observed on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the October 2026 contract increased to US$4,196.10 per troy ounce from the previous day's US$4,133.50. Similarly, the November 2026 contract rose to US$4,212.40 per troy ounce from US$4,150.10.

The December 2026 contract advanced to US$4,228.90 per troy ounce, up from US$4,166.60 on Thursday. Meanwhile, the contracts for January 2027, February 2027, and April 2027 also saw increases, reaching US$4,228.90 from a previous US$4,166.60.

Trading volume slightly increased to 79 lots from 77 lots on Thursday, with open interest improving to 161 contracts from the prior 153 contracts.

The London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on October 8 set the price of physical gold at US$4,124.55 per troy ounce.
