Gold Futures End Higher On Optimism Over US-Iran Talks

Kuala lumpur: Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today on optimism over a potential second round of talks between the United States and Iran to end their conflict. At the close, the spot-month April 2026 contract rose to US$4,868.00 per troy ounce from US$4,800.60 per troy ounce at Tuesday's close, and the May 2026 contract increased to US$4,887.00 per troy ounce from US$4,819.60 per troy ounce previously.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the June, July, and August 2026 contracts all closed higher at US$4,905.50 per troy ounce, up from yesterday's US$4,838.10 per troy ounce. Trading volume rose to 23 lots from eight lots on Tuesday, while open interest increased to 89 contracts from 76 contracts previously.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,794.75 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association afternoon fix on April 14, 2026.
