Gold Futures Decline on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Amid COMEX Weakness

Kuala lumpur: Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on profit-taking following recent gains, in line with the weaker performance on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, the spot-month July 2026 contract slid to US$4,052.20 per troy ounce from US$4,065.60 per troy ounce on Thursday. The August 2026 contract decreased to US$4,067.90 per troy ounce from US$4,084.30 per troy ounce yesterday, and the September 2026 contract fell to US$4,080.00 per troy ounce from US$4,096.40 per troy ounce previously.

The October 2026 and December 2026 contracts were both lower at US$4,110.50 per troy ounce compared with US$4,126.90 per troy ounce previously. Trading volume rose to 291 lots from 234 lots yesterday, while open interest jumped to 359 contracts from 304 contracts previously.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,111.05 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on July 30, 2026.
