Bachok: The Southeast Brigade of the General Operations Force seized firecrackers worth RM114,000 in a raid on a house in Kampung Rendang, Gunong, Bachok, yesterday. Brigade Commander Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid announced the successful operation, which took place at 11 pm, and resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old man suspected of distributing the illegal goods.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the raid uncovered dozens of boxes containing various types of firecrackers. The operation was conducted following intelligence reports suggesting illegal activities related to the distribution of firecrackers in the area.

Brigade Commander Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid stated that the case is being investigated under Section 8 of the Explosives Act 1957. The suspect, along with the seized items, has been taken to the Bachok District Police Headquarters for further action. The authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the full extent of the distribution network involved.
