Kuala Lumpur: An internal investigation into the error in the display of the Jalur Gemilang in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) Examination Results Analysis Report is still underway, said Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek. She therefore requested the cooperation of all parties to give space for the investigation to proceed.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadhlina emphasized the importance of a thorough investigation without compromise. She stated that the ministry is committed to ensuring such errors are not repeated, as the issue surrounding the national flag is of significant importance. The minister urged for patience and support from the public and stakeholders during the investigation process.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) had previously announced a detailed investigation into the error, which involved several artificial intelligence-generated images that inaccurately depicted the national flag on pages 14 and 15 of the report. In response to the mistake, the MOE has apologized and instructed the return of the printed analysis reports for corrections to be made.
