Kuala lumpur: Economy Minister Datuk Seri Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said the initiative demonstrated youths' ability to understand current challenges and offer practical solutions relevant to the country's economic needs. 'This shows that young people not only understand the challenges they face but are also capable of proposing practical and relevant solutions to the country's economic needs,' he said in a statement today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, youths should not be viewed merely as beneficiaries of policies, but as partners in shaping the future of Malaysia's economy. Their views on areas such as Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), entrepreneurship, digitalisation, social protection, and asset ownership are crucial in helping the government formulate responsive, inclusive, and forward-looking policies in line with the aspirations of PuTERA35.

'We see the courage and creativity of the participants in presenting ideas, particularly under seven thrusts closely related to youth development and the future of Bumiputeras,' he said, adding that youth participation was crucial to ensuring the Bumiputera economic transformation agenda remained relevant to the changing economic landscape and the needs of future generations.

At the event held yesterday, Ahmad Huzairy Zaharuddin of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) won first place with his MySkill ID proposal, a National Digital Skills Asset Account based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), and received RM5,000. Ahmad Muqri Johari Abdul Mukmin of Universiti Malaya (UM) and Ahmad Fariz Soon Muhammad Zulkifli Soon of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) took second and third place, receiving RM3,000 and RM2,000 respectively.
