Putrajaya: The Festival Turath Islami Malaysia (FTIM) 2026 will take place for eight days at Masjid Putra, Putrajaya beginning September 13, gathering Islamic scholars from Egypt, Morocco, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan, in a Facebook post, said the festival, which will run until September 20, serves as a meeting platform for scholars, academics, and knowledge seekers from within and outside the country.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, one of the main highlights of FTIM 2026 is the Daurah al-Hikam, a live study and talaqqi session with scholars to delve into Kitab al-Hikam, authored by Imam Ibnu 'Ata'illah al-Sakandari. "FTIM 2026 also features various activities for the whole family and all segments of society, making this festival not just a learning platform, but an educational experience that can be enjoyed together," Dr Zulkifli Hasan stated.

FTIM 2026 is an expansion of the Festival Turath Islami Selangor (FTIS), which enters its fourth edition this year, to the national level on a larger scale in an effort to uphold the heritage of Islamic turath (tradition) as the foundation of human capital development and the formation of a knowledgeable society. The programme is a collaboration between the Selangor state government and the federal government through the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), as a continuation of the three previous FTIS editions.

The event will feature 23 local and international figures in more than 42 sessions, including Syeikh Dr Ali Jum'ah. Among the figures scheduled to participate are Prof Dr Sayyid Idris al-Fasi al-Fihri, Dr Adi Hidayat, Ustaz Wadi Annuar, and Selangor Mufti Datuk Dr Anhar Opir.
