Kuala kedah: More than 1,200 SPM candidates in the Kuala Kedah parliamentary constituency are benefiting from free online tuition, giving them a boost as they prepare for the examination in November.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) President's Office senior political secretary Datuk Romli Ishak mentioned that the programme was a collaborative effort between Sahabat MADANI of the Kuala Kedah parliamentary constituency and a private company. The initiative aims to provide students with access to quality learning without having to incur high tuition costs.
Romli noted that online tuition can be costly, with fees reaching more than RM2,000 a year for a student. The programme seeks to alleviate this financial burden and encourages students to take full advantage of the opportunity, especially as the SPM examination date approaches.
He highlighted the convenience of online tuition, which allows students to attend lessons from home at any time. This is particularly beneficial for families facing financial constraints or living far from tuition centres, as it eliminates the need to spend extra on travelling.
The programme focuses on human capital development, with the goal of helping the people of Kedah progress through education. Romli emphasized the importance of education in facilitating economic and social success. With about three months left for final preparations, students have the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of each subject.
Additionally, Romli pointed out that the programme offers interactive learning. Students have the chance to communicate with teachers and ask questions for further clarification on specific topics. This interactive component ensures that students can engage actively in their learning process and conduct revisions at their convenience.
