Four Injured In Two-Vehicle Crash Near Titiwangsa Range

Jeli: Four people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on the road after the Titiwangsa Range towards Jeli, Kelantan, earlier today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jeli Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) chief Azhar Elmi Mustofar stated that the station received an emergency call at 12.01 pm and dispatched a team to the scene, which was 48 kilometres away. Upon their arrival at 12.52 pm, the operations commander conducted an initial assessment and confirmed the collision involved two vehicles and four victims.

One victim was found pinned in the driver's seat and was extricated by the fire department. Three other injured victims had been helped out of their vehicles by members of the public before the team's arrival. The victims included a 43-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman in the Toyota Vios, and a 28-year-old man and an unidentified individual in the Toyota Hilux.

Azhar Elmi further explained that all victims were transported to Gerik Hospital for further treatment using BBP Jeli and BBP Gerik Emergency Medical Service vehicles. The operation, which concluded at 1.48 pm, involved 17 personnel from the Jeli BBP and Gerik BBP, along with six members of the Malaysian Armed Forces.
