Subang jaya: Police have arrested four men for allegedly robbing a Bangladeshi labourer at machete-point in Subang Jaya yesterday. Subang Jaya police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat reported that the suspects, aged 26 to 30, were detained within 24 hours of the incident.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim was attacked by a group of men armed with machetes in front of a house in Subang Jaya. The assailants escaped with the victim’s mobile phone, cash, and a Honda City car. Prompt police action and intelligence work led to the arrests in Kajang, where officers also seized cash, mobile phones, and the stolen vehicle.
Urine tests conducted on the suspects found them positive for methamphetamine. Each suspect has previous records involving property and drug offences. The four individuals have been remanded for five days to assist with investigations under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for armed robbery.
