Former Bernama Photographer Abdul Rahman Dies Of Prostate Cancer

Kuala lumpur: Former Bernama photographer Abdul Rahman Ahamed, 78, died at his home near Taman Seri Jelatok at around 4.30 am today after battling with prostate cancer.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, his second wife, Ramaini Jusoh, 61, mentioned that he had been bedridden for 16 days due to multiple health problems, including heart, lung, and high blood pressure issues. He was laid to rest at Kampung Belimbing Islamic Cemetery following the Zuhur prayers.

'Early this morning, his stepson Mohd Khairul Anam Adnan, 35, found that he had stopped breathing and immediately informed the family,' she told Bernama at their residence.

Abdul Rahman is survived by two widows, 13 children, 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He served Bernama for 32 years, beginning as a library assistant on May 11, 1971, and retired on Jan 27, 2004, with his final post as a photographer.
