Form Four Student’s Death in Yong Peng Spurs Call for Full Cooperation in Investigation

Yong Peng:The Johor State Education Department (JPNJ) has been urged to fully cooperate with investigations into the death of a Form Four female student at a secondary school in Yong Peng, Batu Pahat.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr. Muhammad Naqib Md Ghazali, chairman of the State Education and Information Committee, emphasized the importance of JPNJ and the District Education Office in supporting the victim's family and the school community affected by the incident.

Dr. Muhammad Naqib stated that the state government takes the incident seriously, particularly due to concerns about the safety and welfare of students in the school environment. He emphasized that there should be no tolerance for bullying, violence, or criminal activities threatening the school community's safety. Determining whether the incident involved such elements will rely on the outcome of official investigations, not speculation.

He underscored the necessity for schools to remain safe environments for education and personal development, safeguarding students' safety and well-being. Dr. Muhammad Naqib also extended his condolences to the victim's family, expressing hopes for their strength and resilience during this challenging time.

Media reports indicate that the deceased student was believed to have been murdered, but official statements from the police are still pending.
