Forest City Developer Ready To Fully Cooperate In Network School Investigation

Forest city: Forest City is ready to fully cooperate with the authorities in the investigation into the Network School operation allegedly involving Israeli citizens. In a statement today, Forest City's developer Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd said that it takes the issue seriously and supports the government's stance of not allowing Johor to be used as a base for any activities that contravene the law and undermine the sovereignty of the country.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Forest City is also ready to cooperate with the Home Ministry (KDN), the Immigration Department (JIM), the Royal Malaysia Police, the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, local authorities and related agencies. "Forest City is also committed to submitting all relevant documents required to facilitate the investigation and expedite the process of thorough, accurate and effective fact-finding," according to the statement.

Meanwhile, Forest City also emphasises a zero-tolerance stance towards violations of the law, abuse of premises, non-compliance with immigration regulations, and activities that jeopardise public safety and order. Yesterday, Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi urged the KDN and related agencies to conduct an investigation into the Network School operation in Forest City, which is alleged to be attended by Israeli citizens.

Onn Hafiz said the individuals are believed to have used a second country's passport to enter Malaysia to participate in the programme, which has raised public concern. Following that, JIM conducted an inspection of 266 foreign nationals from 40 countries in Forest City yesterday, and initial checks found that all individuals possessed valid immigration documents, but further investigations are still ongoing.
