Kuala Lumpur: Industry leaders and stakeholders have convened at Sofitel KL Damansara for a pre-launch fireside chat of the third edition of Food and Drinks Malaysia by SIAL Network 2025. The event, scheduled for July 1-3, will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, bringing together leading food and beverages brands, thought leaders, and innovators to explore opportunities in one of the world’s most dynamic markets, SIAL announced in a statement today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the SIAL Network, a prominent brand under Comexposium, is recognized for connecting and facilitating business within the international food community. Comexposium Sdn Bhd Exhibition director (South East Asia) Henri Tan emphasized the evolving nature of trade fairs to meet industry demands and support business growth. Tan stated, “Trade fairs like FDM 2025 serve as powerful business enablers, offering industry players a platform to network, showcase innovations, and gain valuable insights into global trends.”
The pre-launch gathering was graced by Deputy Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Chan Foong Hin, alongside representatives from the Malaysian Cocoa Board, the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board, and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation. Founded in 1964, the SIAL Network is dedicated to creating connections within the global food marketplace.
This year’s event, themed ‘Crafting Tomorrow’s F and B Landscape: The Role of Innovation and Global Trends in Inspiring Food Businesses,’ will address key aspects of the evolving food and beverage sector. Key topics include the transformation of trade fairs driven by digitalization, sustainability, and artificial intelligence analytics, making these events more effective and inclusive.
Additionally, discussions will focus on the significance of trade exhibitions in regional and global ecosystems, the connection of local producers, and facilitating cross-border collaboration. Thousands of industry professionals from Southeast Asia are expected to attend, fostering valuable partnerships, breakthrough product discovery, and strategic market insights.
