Kedah: Days of unrelenting rain in Kedah have led to the flooding of the Changlun police station in the Kubang Pasu district and the Padang Sanai police station in the Padang Terap district.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kubang Pasu police announced via their official Facebook post that the Changlun police station is temporarily closed due to the flooding affecting the district. The statement advised that all police reports should be directed to the Bukit Kayu Hitam police station or any other nearby station.
Additionally, the police statement informed the public that the road from Kodiang to Padang Sera is entirely closed to all vehicles from the Kampung Meribut to Padang Sera junction. Motorists are advised to take the Kampung Meribut-Kampung Pering-Kampung Kubang Menerong-Napoh highway as a detour.
Further, the Napoh-to-Wang Perah road is also inaccessible to light vehicles from KM 0.5 to KM 1.5 near Kampung Jeragan, Kampung Kubang Betong, and Kampung Bukit. The floodwaters have reached a depth of 600 cm (two feet) as of 4 pm today. An alternative route suggested for users is Jalan Kampung Belukar-Kampung Padang Panjang-Kampung Perik.
