Beaufort: The number of flood victims in the Beaufort district has dropped to 309 people from 102 families as of 8 am today, compared with 312 people from 121 families yesterday afternoon.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sabah State Disaster Management Committee stated that all evacuees are housed at the Selagon Permanent Relief Centre.

The statement explained that eight villages have been affected by flooding since Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department forecasts afternoon and evening showers in parts of Sabah's interior.
