Putrajaya: The stretch at Kilometre (KM) 287 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) between Putra Mahkota and Bandar Baru Nilai, which was inundated following heavy rain this afternoon, is now passable to all vehicles.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, PLUS Malaysia Berhad announced in a Facebook post that the right and centre lanes in both directions have been reopened, and the Nilai Northbound Lay-by, which was previously closed, has also reopened. The post highlighted ongoing congestion, with traffic backed up for 10km southbound and 4km northbound, advising motorists to seek alternative routes and plan their journeys accordingly.

The flash floods were triggered by heavy rain at 6.44 pm, causing all southbound lanes and the emergency and left lanes northbound to be obstructed. Consequently, the Nilai Northbound lay-by was temporarily closed to manage the situation and ensure safety.
