Five Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing In Kajang

Kajang: Police have arrested five foreign men to assist investigations into the murder of a man found with stab wounds in Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Kajang, yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kajang police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof stated that all the suspects, aged between their 20s and 30s, were arrested by officers from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Kajang District Police Headquarters (IPD). The first arrest occurred yesterday, with the suspect remanded for six days until July 26.

The remaining four suspects are set to appear before the Kajang Magistrates' Court tomorrow for a remand application. Urine screening tests conducted on all suspects returned negative for drugs, Naazron added.

The victim, a foreign national in his 20s, was employed in the area where the incident took place. The motive for the murder has not yet been established, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Yesterday, Bernama reported that the victim was found dead with stab wounds to the abdomen near Bandar Mahkota Cheras at 8.45 am. A post-mortem at Kajang Hospital confirmed that he died from severe bleeding caused by the stab wounds.

The police have urged members of the public with information on the incident to contact investigating officer ASP Ong Eng Yew at 012-6966849 or visit the nearest police station to assist in the investigation.
