Gopeng: A fire destroyed an animal feed processing factory in the Gopeng Industrial Area here yesterday. Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director of operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad stated that the department was alerted at 10.40 am, and firefighters arrived at the scene five minutes later.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the fire devastated 90 percent of the Class A feed processing factory, with two forklifts sustaining 80 percent damage. The fire was brought under control by 11.56 am, although the cause and estimated losses remain under investigation.

Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad mentioned that 24 personnel from the Gopeng, Simpang Pulai, Batu Gajah, Kampar, Ipoh, and Pasir Puteh fire and rescue stations participated in the operation. The firefighting efforts concluded at 3.28 am today.
