Kuala lumpur: Three business kiosks in the tourist hotspot of Petaling Street Market on Jalan Hang Lekir here were destroyed in a fire shortly after midnight today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department stated that its Operations Control Centre received an emergency call at 12.21 am. In response, personnel from the Hang Tuah, Pudu, and Titiwangsa Fire and Rescue Stations were dispatched to the scene.

The department's statement revealed that upon arrival, firefighters found the blaze involved three kiosks, each measuring 10 by 10 square feet, with all three completely destroyed. The firefighting operation concluded at 1.21 am with no casualties reported.

The statement also noted that the cause of the fire and the estimated losses are still under investigation.
