Melaka: An obese woman from Taman Rambai Jaya required assistance from the Fire and Rescue Department to be transported to the hospital due to breathing difficulties.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the woman, weighing 160 kilogrammes, prompted the mobilization of emergency services. Melaka Fire and Rescue Department Operations Commander Senior Fire Officer II Noor Hafizah Mohammed reported that the department received an emergency call at 2.45 pm. Subsequently, a team from the Tangga Batu Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, the team found the 29-year-old woman experiencing breathing difficulties. Firefighters lifted her into a transport lorry to facilitate her transfer. A medical officer accompanied the patient, and she was transported to Hospital Melaka for treatment. The entire operation, from lifting to transportation, took approximately 30 minutes.
