KUALA LUMPUR: The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) is organising a free film screening and appreciation programme involving works nominated for the Best Film category at the 33rd Malaysian Film Festival (FFM33). FFM33 Awards Night is scheduled to take place on Dec 7 with 95 nominations comprising 64 feature films, 20 short films, and 11 documentaries.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the screening programme will last for five days starting Monday (Dec 2) in the evening at GSC Mid Valley here. Among the films involved are Duan Nago Bogho, Imaginur, Mechamato Movie, Hungry Ghost Diner, and Rain Town. Finas, in a statement, highlighted that the main purpose of this programme is to provide an opportunity for the general public to attend the film screening and appreciation session. This includes interactions and the sharing of ideas and opinions about the films with panelists.

Additionally, the programme aims to promote and increase the publicity of FFM33 among local and international indu

Beyond the Best Film nominees, Finas is also offering a public screening session of 63 film titles competing at FFM33, free of charge, starting today until Dec 6.
