Kuantan: The public, especially those returning to their hometown for the Aidilfitri holiday, is reminded to fill out the balik kampung form so that their homes can be monitored by the police in their absence. Kuantan District Police Chief ACP Wan Zahari Wan Busu emphasized the importance of this measure to ensure enhanced security during the festive period.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, through the notification form, the police will be able to identify residential areas and implement crime prevention efforts effectively. ACP Wan Zahari highlighted that around 200 balik kampung notification forms have already been distributed. He urged residents planning to travel for Raya to complete the forms to facilitate better monitoring.

The police chief further assured that patrols would be increased in residential areas where homeowners had informed the authorities about their absence during the holiday season. This proactive measure aims to deter potential criminal activities and provide peace of mind to those leaving their homes for the celebrations.
